Artist History
Tim (vocals/guitar) and Jon (bass) decided to form a band in 1993. Originally called Mydian, they found a drummer by odd chance named Waylon Jennings. He turned out to be very good (a natural really) and thus he was inducted. For a while the name of the band was Subterfuge, but as you may or may not know, a hardcore band in New York was recently signed under that name. Eventually Negate became the name, Mike joined us, and here we are. |

Press Reviews
Metal with an interest that extends beyond GBRS (Great, Big Riff Syndrome) and explores the many magical things a guitar can do while keeping the edges nice and sharp. Songs include push-and-pull dynamics that give Negate's sound a sense of urgency. - Kali H.From Listen.com |
