Artist description I am a Hindustani (North Indian) classical singer. I usually sing with Tabla (drums), Harmonium (keyboard),and 1-3 supporting voices. The accompanists vary from concert to concert. The instrumentalists are hired forthe occasion from the many I have sung with. The supporting voices are mostly my students. In India myconcerts are billed as "solo" performances even though there are all these accompaniments.

Artist History I have been singing for the National radio network since 1972 and giving concerts and teaching since evenbefore that. However, many more started to know me after I moved to Pune, 120 miles east/ southeast ofMumbai (Bombay) in 1984. Today I have 30 albums to my credit.
