Artist description
Lush soundscapes, driving beats, thought evoking lyrics with edgy guitar melodies. These are the trademark sounds of The Razor Skyline, the dark collaberation between The_gun and Karen Kardell started in 1995 and still burning strong. Their first album "Journal of Trauma" provided the world with the template for gothic electronic music for the new millenium. "Fade and Sustain" redefined the genre with newer electronics and an updated sound. Their third album "The Bitter Well" was released on June 17th, 2003 |

Press Reviews
"The Razor Skyline kicks ass!" Hidden Sanctuary "The Razor Skyline show how much beauty there is to a dark world of misery. Their music goes beyond the typical message of gloomy life and heartbreak love to create a more upbeat tune. With the growing rise of mediocre darkwave bands, it is a sigh of relief to know that The Razor Skyline will be here to guide us." Last sigh E-zine. "The Razor Skyline is perfect for listeners who enjoy gothic vocals but are bored of the droning and yearn for the pulse of electronic beats." In Music We Trust E-zine. "The Razor Skyline is at the lonely top of its genre and, although already highly mature and skilled, it's almost scary to imagine what these talented musicians will offer us in the future. Another bright light in the goth/darkwave genre." Starvox E-zine "It doesn't get much better than this. The Razor Skyline may be the best electro-goth band around" Outburn magazine, "If there is one band to pay attention to on COP International these days, they are!!" Side Line magazin |
