Artist description
Obscene with fat funk.
Terrifying with fractured dischord.
Alone in cathedral ambience.
Heartbreaking with sweet soaring beauty.
As fat and funky as it’s possible to be, the only slinky grooves to come from Belfast since St. Patrick got rid of the snakes.
Serious hip-swinging music rooted in the baddest-assed funk of the 70’s with its head shoved firmly into the ambient sampling and jungle beats of the future, walking through free-jazz, soul and reggae on the way to a beautiful horizon.

Artist History
In 1992, four converted rockers formed the Cheese Junkies.
Six months later in 1993, the product FDR was unveiled, spiralling up to the top of the local demo charts and remaining there for 5 months. This was Fusion-funk-core arriving.
In 1994 a disagreement over the custody of used guitar strings led to the bass player leaving, the singer becoming the new bassist and a new singer being recruited.
Six months later in 1995 (a pattern emerging?) more product - The Devil Wore Black and Jesus Jumped on the Off-Beat a raging slice of Funk Reggae Fat Chops and Funk. Once again the tape stormed up the local demo charts and stayed at the top for 2 months, then lurked around the bottom of the top ten for a further 4 months. And top value for money it was - an hour of Fat Chops.
Speeding on through personal crisis and many gigs, 1997 saw the limited edition release of a new CD with original Fat Funk tracks, ambient/jungle remixes and a multimedia extravaganza linked to the Internet.
Right now (April 98) the Cheese Junkies are mixing their latest CD The Creature That Ate the Monster which is slated to have at least 15 tracks of brand new hot and steaming FUNK and driven ambient jungle.
