ODYSSEY
by Steve Head
Most of the albums I review are produced by master musicians who often create their own original music. That is true of Odyssey with one notable difference. You see, Steve Head, in addition to being a superb musician and brilliant composer.. is also a student of metaphysics, and by definition, a thinker.
All of these talents are quite visible in Odyssey. Steve takes us through eleven tracks of music that lead the listener from mood music to meditation to upliftment to lyrics that have so much meaning. Some of the music is quite upbeat reflecting Mr. Head's background in jazz, while some is somber. All of it reflects a spirit and creativity you'll want to hear.. and enjoy.
Steve's associations with top entertainers like Bob Marley, Marty Balin of Jefferson Airplane/Starship, Herbie Hancock and Patti LaBelle are reflected in his music. Lately, though, Mr. Head has decided to write and perform using his metaphysical education and experience. Odyssey successfully combines the two creative people who make up Steve Head, and offers a product that is all at once delightful, intuitive, happy, spiritual and mysterious.
Want proof? Visit Steve Head's website at http://www.supremebeing.com. There you'll find insight into his character and psyche. You'll also find samples of his music to listen to and to be enthralled by. And you'll find his conscious decision to evolve from money and fame.. .to awareness.
Odyssey is well produced, thoughtful, provocative and sensual. In addition to being an assemblage of real good music. This reviewer thoroughly enjoyed every note of Steve Head's album...and so (I believe) will you!
