Artist description
With a sound that is equal parts Iron Maiden and Journey, Radiohead and
.38 Special, Richmond, Virginia's Steppin' Blind has proven that you can rock as
hard as anyone and not have to offend your audience in the process.
The band, Eric Hutchinson, guitars and vocals, Troy Miller, guitars and vocals,
J. Mark Scott (www.mp3.com/cainrazers, www.mp3.com/the_limit_from_richmond), drums and vocals
and Ron Storts, bass and vocals, carved its niche with dynamic live performances
and polished studio recordings that belied its short time together. In less than three
years, the group produced two Compact Discs, the eleven-track studio effort Late
Nights at Salamone's, and the eight song Live in Richmond. In addition, one track
from Late Nights, What Was, was included on a compilation CD, WABA NEMU,
which showcased Washington, D.C. area talent.
Late Nights has been reviewed in the United States and Europe, receiving praise
from, among others, a Dutch reviewer who recognized the band's writing and
playing strengths, giving it nine out of ten stars. A German reviewer was dead-on;
stating the band's sound was "melodic rock rich in class and catchy melodies".
