Artist description
In August 1994 Seeds of Sorrow came into being in Vienna and exist now of a fixed line-up since February 1995.Through the last few years the musical stylistics of SOS have incredibly changed. As they were in their infancy they played rough Death Metal like on their first output "Final Blast" (Full Size CD 1995/12) but then they turned over a new leaf and got more costly, faster, tougher and seasoned. That`s why their latest album "Bleeding Eyes" (Full size CD 1998/11) is best described as New Wave of Swedish Death Metal. Their style moves within a wide range of influences and with that it creates very interesting, but still united mixture of acoustic, slow and extremely heavy parts, mixed up with fast and incredible-powerful riffs. But they neither lose melody nor their straight groove.Since their foundation Seeds of Sorrow played more than then sixty concerts at home and abroad. Those not only brought about that they are very widely known, but also concerts with renowned bands of the metal-scene, like Vader, Obituary, Cannibal Corpse, Infernal Majesty, Dark Funeral, Krabathor.Comparing SOS with other bands is not and has never been easy. That is caused by the wide range of influences from the music of Vader, Morbid Angel, Cannibal Corpse, Annihilator and the style of "New Wave of Swedish Death Metal", like "At the Gates". But there are a few elements of style that walk along with SOS since former times, that made them famous in the austrian and foreign scene. |

Press Reviews
