Artist History
Tilted, twisted and certifiably mad, that's Jerry K. Each of his songs is a story told with an outlaw mind, a redneck heart and a southern touch. Sprinkle in a touch of damn Yankee, and you have a sometimes sad oft times humourously unique point of view.Born in White Plains, New York, Jerry K got his first guitar for Christmas at age 13. He attended the University of Mississippi where he received a Bachelor of Arts Cum laude in computer science with a minor in music composition. He has been influenced by wide range of artists such as Hank Williams Jr., Lynyrd Skynyrd, Dan Fogelburg, The Eagles and Jackson Browne but his sound can best be summed up as a blend of Hank Jr., Jerry Jeff Walker and David Allan Coe with a sprinkling of Confederate Railroad. He's played a good portion of Northern Mississippi on into southern Tennessee. Having spent half his life in New York and half in Mississippi he tends to stray across the bounds of country music more than most. He still writes with a southern attitude of I love my woman, my kids, my dog, my pick-up, my longnecks and the outdoors and willing to defend all to the deat |

Press Reviews
When Jerry belts out "Redneck Honky Tonk" you can feel that southern rock heat starting to build up in the style of Travis Tritt, or Brooks and Dunn, and in the likes of "Lynyrd Skynyrd" has the ability to cool you down .....Being from South of the border myself (I) couldn't help but tap my foot along to Jerry's "A Shot Of Tequila And A Pina' Colada" which should bring a smile to any Jimmy Buffett fan... Don Mangus Mild 2 Wild entertainment***On the song "Shot of Tequila and a Pina Colada": I can smell the ocean, taste the drink and feel the sand between my toes***I'm getting it now. I feel like I'm off the coast of Cozumel, sucking a few cervezas con limon, and checking out todos los bronzed chicas. Muy bien amigo.***"Jerry K seems to be on a mission to be the next country rocker, with a sound that pulls from the rock and roll bag of tricks as often as it pulls from the country honky tonk bag"...
