Press Reviews
Song: 'Stuck in a Groove' "This combination of an incredibly insistent bass groove, hypnotic acoustic guitar riffs, and subtle rhythmic propulsion grabs you from the get-go. S.F.-based solo artist Geoffrey Cook doesn't quite fit the Jazz genre, but he has nailed this tune. Angry lyrics of disillusionment almost seethe though his breathy near-whispered delivery. I like how he doubles his vocals an octave above throughout the song to good effect. This reminds me of some Jazz/Pop hybrid groups like The Philosopher Kings and Wolfgang Press. You won't be able to get this song out of your head for days after just one listen."
