Artist description
FLIP TAKES A TRIP is an interesting combination of today's hard-hitting, guitar oriented rock and an experimental soup full of off-beat instrumentation and psychedelic
sound. The songs are about the dreams, desires, and frustrations of everyday life, and finding that perfect cup of metaphorical coffee. But most of all, Flip Takes a Trip is about
good 'ol Rock n Roll, in which "every set is a show, every song a
journey, and you're invited!"

Artist History
The ameoba that was Flip Takes a Trip emerged from the Primordial
goo of North Dallas party band Midnite Snack in late 1993 when guitarist Tim Hauser
approached singer Brian Coleman about putting together a small, guitar oriented unit
that would concentrate on straight-ahead rock and original composition. Under the name
of Renaisonix, the band began playing club dates in the Dallas-Ft. Worth area, and in
mid 1994, Brian's brother Brett Coleman joined. The group changed their name to Flip
Takes a Trip in late 1995, and began writing songs in earnest, as composition became
the focus. Shortly after drummer Kris Cordell joined in 1997, (we've lost count on how
many drummers we've had!), the band entered the studio to record their first
independently produced and self-titled album. At this writing, Flip Takes a Trip continues
to record and perform their particular brand of demented tunes for you, the record buying
public.
