    Artist History
Hell hath no fury like three chicks torn between the trailer park and punk delirium. Hailing from the Motor City, these chicks pack an onslaught of in your face rock n' roll delivered with a nitro-fuel injected punch. In April, Broadzilla took home the award for best Hard Rock Band at the 2001 Detroit Music Awards. In addition they performed at the awards ceremony amongst some of Detroit’s best acts including the infamous rap group D12 featuring Eminem. Most recently Broadzilla debuted the release of their second CD titled “Lady Luck” to a sold out crowd of 400+ in their hometown of Detroit and are fueling the fires of frantic fans everywhere. Venturing out of town regularly to perform throughout the Midwest, Broadzilla has opened for such acts as the Deftones, Joan Jett, L7, the Lunachicks, Skid Row and the Goo Goo Dolls to name a few. Last year the band caught the attention of Limp Bizkit frontman Fred Durst who invited them to perform on the opening night of the Napster-sponsored Limp Bizkit tour in Detroit along with Cypress Hill. This high-profile gig landed them an interview with Durst that aired on MTV as well as mentions in Spin and Rolling Stone. Alternative Press’ Jason Pettigrew, who selected them for the magazines Low Profile section calls them "Sneering, tough hoodlum chicks, whose boyfriends hold their leather jackets while the girls have to defend their boys honor." While T.Van Porten at Metal Maidens, the Netherlands tribute to women rockers, says about Broadzilla’s first release, “It’s a great CD to play at a wild party." Broadzilla also enjoyed two appearances in the nationally distributed Rockrgrl Magazine. Presently Broadzilla is touring in support of “Lady Luck” on Diamond Star Records, the bands own imprint. Of course none of their accomplishments have come to them from any other source than hard work and determination. After all this is a DIY band who has managed to overcome stereotypes and break down barriers in the music industry all by themselves. Broadzilla is a speeding locomotive and not about to derail anytime soon!

    Press Reviews
Here's what the critics have to say: "These gals from Motown have more girl power in one set than you'll find in a billion dollars worth of Spice Girl hype." Jerry Atric, Slam Magazine-------"If chainsaw rock n' roll is your thing, Broadzilla is here to answer your metal prayers." Wendy Case, Detroit News"-----Trashy, thrashy hard stuff from a band that remembers rock n' roll is supposed to be fun." Brian McCollum, Detroit Free Press-----"They've got such huge chops that they're nearly the best 4/4 rock outfit in the entire city." Paul Hahn, Etch Magazine"------Ten thousands decibels of shrieking punk rock energy." J.S., Jam Rag-----"It was as if the Runaway's got back together, but now they're a little bit dirtier and raunchier." S.E.M., Real Detroit"-----The three women of Broadzilla do our town's raucous legacy proud." Ben Edmonds, Hour Detroit"-----A great CD to play at a wild party." T. Van Poorten, Metal Maidens The Netherlands-----"I love the Supremes and for Broadzilla to have the audacity to cover a song by breathy little Diana Ross and turn it into a metal song- and make it sound good- speaks multitudes upon multitudes of the talent this band possesses." S.K. Ellis, Jam Rag-----"If you have not heard this CD, you are not living your life to the fullest." Angie Kaiser, Michigan Artists-----"Sneering, tough hoodlum chicks, whose boyfriends hold their leather jackets while the girls have to defend their boys honor." Jason Pettigrew, Alternative Press
