Artist History
Rome lives a peculiar day. There's a super show at the Opera House, with the presence of all the most fashionable artists. A glamorous parade that would have never been repeated once again: ten orchestras alternating on a mobile stand, an unique magnificence of feathers and sequins.
A letter reached the young mayor collaborator, who co-ordinated the adhesions:
"You young folk maybe don't know us,
but once we were a good band.
We would be glad to partecipate
in your show.
Room With A View"
They appears on the bandstand in blue full evening-dresses and with silk-hats; their faces made pale with powder, their eyes hollowed by sleepless nights. They sing the amorous treason deception, that in dissolutness looks for the strength to sneer at fate.
The audience is puzzled, listens in absolute silence, then acclaiming encores the band.
"Room With A View" sing the ambiguos, autoironic, decadent scenery for unreal nights of a pseudo-cultured and pro-aristocratic new bourgeois class.
They leave their last audience avoiding with biting irony that fatuous unreal world which was shattering like a fragile champagne glass.
