Artist History
In the fall of 2000, a band was formed. It was just a group of friends with similar interests and likes. In 2000, “DumbStruck” was made up of 4 kids: Kevin Whitsett, Spencer Waldorf, Tyler Mount, and Daniel Lewis. After about two years of playing a few short parties/talent shows, DumbStruck evolved and progressed as a band.
In the fall 2002, Tyler was led to leave the band to seek out other opportunities and suddenly the band was with one less member. After a few weeks as a three person band, Kevin was good friends with a guy that played guitar, and could sing. And from there the band picked up a kid named Zach Whiteside, the new guy. Zach came in and the band seemed to look as good as ever.
So first thing’s first, we thought “with a new style, new songs, one new person, we should get a new name.” Then came the name “MUiRFiELD” (which came from the name of Daniel and Kevin’s neighborhood) It all just seemed to click.
Now rockin' out like never before, MUiRFiELD are coming up with new songs left and right and jamming at lots of places and even planning an east coast tour this summer. Right now the band awaits the release of their debut EP and full length albums, which should come out very soon. So here they are, with the support of their friends and family, these boys are all set to step up, and rock out. MUiRFiELD style.
