Artist History
Founded in 1990, by Jack Sanbower, The central Maryland based No Leeway Band has developed into what has become one of the finest traditionally based bluegrass bands in the country. Original material, great harmonies, and instrumentation rivaled by few is the bands hallmark.
Veterans of both stage and studio, their material is always tasteful and well presented. The bands stage presents and musicianship have won them loyal audiences and fans wherever they have entertained.
Sanbower and Garris has performed at many bluegrass events up and down the east coast and in the Midwest. Some bluegrass festivals where they have entertained are: Pocono Mountain, Bass Mountain, Gettysburg, Windgap, Arcadia, Bill Harrell's, Ypsilanti, Wellsboro, Jerseytown, Copley and Horseshoe Run just to name a few.
Based around the singing voice of George Garris and the banjo virtuoso stylings of Jack Sanbower , The No Leeway Band is carrying the bluegrass music tradition to today's audience.
The band's wide traditional repertoire and versatile musical program reflect past and current musical styles. The group is billed as "traditional bluegrass music with a contemporary flair". Once you see and hear this band, I'm sure you'll agree, bluegrass music is well represented by Sanbower ~ Garris and The No Leeway Band. |
