Artist History
+++1994+++
After many unsuccessful tries finding members for a band, decides the later
Manne Manic Mess (who also listens fantastic to the name Manuel) to make
music solo. There were 2 songwriter-parodies recorded in 1994, which are
still rotting in the archive.
+++1995/96+++
The MANNE MANIC MESS-project was born. With guitar and drumcomputer the
first songs arose, which were recorded in summer 1995. The recording-equipment
was rather simple: A cheap "Vivanco"-mixing board, a stereo, and a walkman
connected with the mixing board and played the playback-tape while guitar
or vocals were overdubbed.
+++1997+++:
The first demotape called "Freaky Listening" was released.
+++1998+++
"Bulle = 0" ("Cop = 0"), one of the songs from the tape was released on the
CD-compilation "Himmel, hast du keine Flinte?" ("Heaven, Donīt You Have A Gun?")
on Kaputte Jugend Rec. This (not really serious believed) CD features lots of
Punk and Lo-Fi bands. In summer, the recordings for the second demotape got started.
+++1999+++:
"Nicht direkt Lo-Fi" ("Not Really Lo-Fi") so the title of the second production
was released. The title is programatic for the soundqualitiy but somehow for the
songs too. Not really bad, not really good, neither fish nor flesh...
+++2000/01+++
Manne Manic Mess started making music with a computer. But it took eternities
until something good was coming out.
+++2002+++
In January the recording sessions for "Vollmondelektronik"("Fullmoon Electronic")started and drug on until July. This record with 8 tracks was released in December 2002 on Red Nail Music.
