Artist description As a reputable songwriter, jP (John Paul Sunga) has written and collaborated with a number of artists over the past 6 years. As a solo artist, jP is also a singer, producer/arranger, and musician. His track, "Heavenly", was also featured on the milestone compilation, "DreamScapes Vol. 1: A Collection of Canadian Artists" (2000). More recently, jP has toured with Toronto's soul-rebel crew "The Rice Junkie Collective" as a keyboardist, background vocalist, co-arranger and writer. In a pool of aspiring artists, where an overwhelming majority are great versions of other artists, jP sticks out like a sore thumb sounding like no other but himself. An incredible songwriter, a humble singer and an intimately intense performer are qualities that make jP an artist to definitely keep your eye on.
