Artist History
What their about
This is the Bio of D.E.M and here is their story
These Brooklyn MC's can surely make a new statement in the ever-growing
game of hip-hop. D.E.M which also stands for Doing Everything major consists of 3
smart young artists U'kno da Don,21, Quest Balboa,22, and J.P (Just A Piranha)
Groucho,22 have their heart set on changing the face of the music industry, with their
East Coast style techniques, with a little "dirty" south twist and caribbean
soul sounds J.P and U'kno became friends on the streets of Brooklyn, as the two
live across the street from each other U'kno and J.P collided with two more
friends of theirs and formed S.A.C.T.(Soul Assassins Coming Through).
Quest on the other hand, was in the other side of Brooklyn, in a group called Hollow
Point. The two entities would meet in school where Quest approached J.P. b/c he
heard that he had some skillz. The two exchanged a few verses between themselves,
feeling each othes styles(pause) they decided that they would work together. S.A.C.T,
then having trouble with each other and the law, decided to split up. Quest, still a
member in his group, went to J.P. and U'kno and brought them to his producer.
The producer was in shock seeing the three MC's combined talent, formed
together a group known as the Jaqulz. The Jaqulz consisted of 5 members and
received write ups in XXL magazine and placement on college radios, coming ahead of
acts like Cash Money and No Limit on Boston college Radio stations. Relations
between the three and the producer began to get rocky and the three boys decided to
venture off on their own for a while. soon U'kno would bump into a friend named
Russ Dymonds and introduce the three to a young talented producer by the name of
Skitzo, the collision was incredible, the combined sounds of Skitzo's challenging
yet catchy beats with the artists up to date and powerful lyrics made it clear that they
had something. D.E.M can currently be heard on mixtapes for the streets such as DJ
Famous and Green Latern and up-coming articles in the Sources unsinged hype and
Rnation.com. They have already ripped up many shows in the New York area,
including a performance in Wetlands, club Chetta's, The Pyramids, and club
Ovation and have also extended their flavor to other states with performancs at
colleges like University of Massachusetts. While D.E.M has conqured open mike
performances and have hit the streets in hopes of creating that "buzz"
selling their album to the public directly, they still urn for their world wide shot. when
asked why don't their not signed yet, their response was "People tend to be
comfortable in what they already know, since we are not worried, our movement is
strong and all we need is that opportunity" Wtih these talents, lyrics, and appeal
you can't help but to feel the presence of this group D.E.M to be Doing
Everything Major, in years to come
