Artist description
Scott B. Morton is a highly unique and eclectic composer. He is heavily influenced by film music as well as video game music and other interactive media. His music contains elements of the classical genre, tinged with electronica and realized through sequencers and samplers. Scott also combines acoustic instruments with computer-generated tapestries to create engaging and aurally specific musical works.
Scott has been composing since 1994 and holds a Bachelor of Music degree in composition from Boise State University, in Boise Idaho. In 2001, he was the winner of the Opus 7 Northwest Composers competition, based in Seattle, Washington. His experimental choral piece, “The Light Awakes” was performed in St. Mark’s Cathedral in Seattle. Scott is currently a professional composer in the game industry.
Scott’s current album-in-progress, entitled “Reversing the Nexus” is planned for online release in August 2003.
