Artist History
The essence of Better Days lies solely in a devotion to creating barrier-breaking music. With styles ranging from acoustic rock to jazz funk, to classically influenced grooves and heart felt ballads this five piece band is steadily making a name for themselves throughout Isla Vista and Santa Barbara.
The band was formed originally as a two-piece acoustic duet by Adam Krejcik and Jon Margolis in September 2001 under the name Mellow Moods. Over the course of about four months they massed a core group of fans that soon embraced their new catchy and original style. By January 2002, Austin Wilson (Bass) and Andrew Papanicalauo (drums) joined the Mellow Moods team to form Better Days. Soon after Paul Wirtz (Saxophone) joined the band and the Better Days lineup was complete. Individually each member has an impressive musical background including jazz combos, professional lessons, as well as teaching music. Together they are a serious, focused band with the sole mission of playing their music around the world. With influences like Jack Johnson, Dave Matthews Band, Red Hot Chili Peppers, and Incubus, Better Days incorporates these sounds to create a truly unique style. The positive high-spirited energy they bring to their live show is something fans are not soon forgetting.
