Group Members
Songwriter, political activist, entrepeneur, and one great guitar player. An interesting mix these Flying Stickleys who celebrate the release of their debut CD, "Behind the Hangar." This eclectic group of personalities possess a unique sound influenced by their roots in Jazz, Blues, and Rock. With their presence and rare chemistry, The Flying Stickleys are making inroads with a busy schedule of festivals, concerts, and club dates.
Supporting the release of their new CD the band features Fred Stickley on keyboards and vocals. Fred honed his songwriting and performance skills while living in L.A. and toured at home and abroad with A&M recording artist John Hiatt.
Also featured is Lisa Mann on bass and lead vocals. Lisa recently received the Cascade Blues Association's Muddy Waters Award for "Best Bass Player for 2001." An active Green Party member, Lisa is currently Water Commissioner for the Tualatin Valley Water District.
Jesse Schmunk on guitar, is an impressive talent. Before joining The Flying Stickley's Jesse performed and recorded with the Curtis Salgado Band who record on the Shanachie label.
