Artist History
2 Years ago, Josh Dahlke and Mark Messier struck a thought. That thought was that of being a band. On the way to Battle of The Bands in 1999, Josh introduced his cousin Adam to Mark. They looked around at eachother and said: “We will play this next year, we will be a band”. They could only imagine what that quote would mean two years later.
Next thing you know, they get a call from Minneapolis’s The Quest, asking for the unnamed (at this time) band. Although it had only been discussed, that was the day Mark, Adam, and Josh became “Radically Strapped”.
The show at the Quest was all but great, but to 3 young high school students, it was a start.
Eventually, The day came to mark their previous quote. Battle of the Bands had come. The band came onto the stage and quickly became popular around South Saint Paul.
A hundred shows past, Shitty nights at Burnsville’s The Garage, Basement Parties, A “Groundbreaking” performance at their brainchild “Radfest2”, and many more, the boys had finally become men in the Punk Rock World.
Now as they re-embark upon their 2 years as a band, they can only look on the past as the best two years of their childhood lives. They now look forward into sold out crowds, packed houses, screaming girls, and punk rock love.
RS has definitly come a long way--Viva La’ Coalition!!!
