    Artist History
Imagine how hip-hop would react to a rapper who introduced himself under the moniker White Boy. Well, actually that thought is as real as the Corona Queens New York raised Italian phenom who did just that. And White Boy's MC name isn't any type of publicity stunt. It's been the 28 year-old rappers name since his neighborhood Black friends bestowed it on him as a child. After growing up listening to icons like Roxanne Shante and Big Daddy, he'd later hook up with another legend, and Corona Queens native, Kool G. Rap. Sleeping on the floor at G-Rap's crib lead to White Boy co-writing and spitting the hook for Kool G Rap' and Nas's "Fast Life." "I used to go to Lefrak parties and they'd be like 'Oh, you White Boy? I don't wanna battle you," boasts White Boy aka Johnny Blanco. " Noreaga used to write me when he was in jail. I used to send him beat tapes." Now White Boy's ready to smack the world with his self-titled, solo LP dropping on 20g Entertainment. You can only imagine how crazy an MC that graduated under the tutorage of a legends is. And the Caucasian MC's grave deep rap narratives and punch lines are above the in house production of The Coalition, which includes Buddah and Shamello, the beat smiths behind Busta's "Put Your Hands Where My Eyes Can See." But White Boy's not about to play the race card. "[My album's] not gonna be a Black or White album, it's gonna be an album on me. I've seen negative and positive. I was 11 years old in a Rolls Royce at Benihana's. I've seen my mother on a welfare line and my father beating her out of child support," he reveals. His album's got it all. You want concepts? Check the metaphorical "N.F.L. You want catchy shit? Peep "On Da Block" as the theme for Happy Days is played with. How about some gangsta guests? W.B invites the lunacy of Sticky Fingaz to "See Thru My Eyes" and the North Carolina ranting of Petey Pablo on "NY to NC." So there are no gimmicks here. White Boy's only gimmick is he doesn't have any. "Love me or hate me," he states is his motto. "If ya' hate me, holla ya' hate me. If ya' love me holla ya' love me. There's no room for the middle.
