Artist description
Joe Roy is an independent artist coming from a mixed generation. He is not a boomer and not quite and Xer. But styles of music never were an issues for this 38 year old, do it yourselfer. He started his music career playing covers by Led Zep, Kiss, Styx, Steve Miller, The Eagles, James Brown, etc. He began mixing in sounds from the 80's and came up with a group that was very popular but not really main stream, called the "Attitude". This band stayed together all through his college life (where he earned a BS degree in advertising design) and ended as the members went off to start a life in the business world. Joe became very successful in that world, but never stopped playing. He played in bands that ranged from hard rock to hard funk and just about everything in between. The instability inherent in bands is what drove Joe to build his own recording studios and produce everything himself. He was tired of waiting for the drummer to show up for practice.. So he built his own studio in a building outside of his house. Now this may seem easy at first mention but Joe spent two years learning the craft of acoustic design before he put one nail in the wall. He now puts out his own music material and is getting up and running on several projects to be released soon...
He came from a small southern town in Louisiana called Natchitoches and spent many year traveling through Europe where he developed a taste for the modern sounds so popular today. In a mix between pop, blues and rock he has developed a sound that is often hard to classify and truly unique. His vocal style is big and full it ranges from a smooth easy sound to a gut launched power note. This has allowed him to do many different styles. All in all this artist is well worth checking out...
