    Artist description
“Take the best of a group that jams, a group that rocks and a group whose lyrics you can’t get out of your head, add some refreshing originality, and you’ve got Dave’s Gone Mad” — Joe Hanlon, The Dartmouth Dave’s Gone Mad delivers infectious pop-rock, crafting songs with universal themes and catchy melodies. Drawing on influences such as Train, U2 and Jimmy Eat World, Dave’s Gone Mad creates music with wide appeal rooted in authentic songwriting. In the fall of 2000, DGM formed at Dartmouth College in New Hampshire. Fred and Jeff were first-year roommates and began jamming in their room. P-Trav lived down the hall in the same dorm and soon joined in with his bass. A short time later they met Evan and began playing in dorms and at Lone Pine Tavern at Dartmouth. Since then, their New Hampshire fan base has been growing steadily. DGM recently released Begin, their first full-length studio album. The album was fully produced and engineered by the band. The group committed themselves to mastering ProTools Audio software and studying pop music to record and mix a professional quality album. The Dartmouth awarded Begin four out of four stars. Fred Yarger is the songsmith of the group, writing about losing love, finding love, and leaving home. His passionate vocals recall his roots in the edgy grunge scene of Washington State. Jeff Hebert is a guitar wizard, steering DGM’s sound toward the foot-stamping rock native to his home in Boston. Evan McBeath brings his diverse musical tastes – from Incubus to George Winston – while keeping a steady pop beat with his drums and adding piano and background vocals. P-Trav D’Amato contributes his thumping bass and his smiling, energetic stage presence. DGM has shared the stage with Georgia Avenue, and has been featured in The Dartmouth and New Hampshire’s Jam Magazine. They play regular shows at Dartmouth and in the surrounding area.
