Artist History Ryan’s Hope came together as a band in April 2002. The guys have gained musical experience through their former band, Bound, playing shows mostly in the Indiana area (with many fine hardcore bands). After Bound fell to pieces(due to the lack of motivation and rehearsal, not to mention a loathing for the overpopulation of hardcore elitists). Terry and Greg served time in Joliet’s very own Trundle. Weeks of discussion among the guys influenced Terry and Greg to disband from Trundle and form a three-piece band that would not be subject to any one style of music, allowing multiple musical ideas to grow into songs. Terry and Greg have played guitar together for years and played in bands together before Greg took over the drummers position in Ryan’s Hope. Nick and Terry grew-up together and have been musical partners since junior high( Metallica ). Ryan’s Hope is a discovery of possibility and opportunity among 3 best friends. A realization and a dream. The three of them remain ever inspired by music each day, as they collect each others ideas into their songs. Ryan’s hope is the name they chose in memory of some of the great people they’ve lost. And they credit such influences as far, the smoking popes,the foo fighters, snapcase, green day,and jimmy eat world . Call it pop, call it emo, call it punk, call it whatever, ryan's hope is creating their music out of their own love for it, regardless of the limitations of labels.
