Dr. Bellows is a local NYC soul-jazz-funk band that plays a mixture of instrumental originals and cover tunes mainly influenced by the '70's jazz-funk era, and the more recent acid-funk movement, including artists such as the Greyboy Allstars, John Scofield, Galactic, Medeski, Martin and Wood, Karl Denson's Tiny Universe and Robert Walter's 20th Congress to name a few. |

Dr. Bellows was formed in 1998 and has been gigging around the local Manhattan scene for the last few years at various venues including The Knitting Factory, Session 73, Izzy Bar, The Bitter End, Lion's Den, the former Baby Jupiter, Desmond's Tavern, etc., and have played numerous private functions throughout the NY Metropolitan area. |
