Artist History
"I actually hated techno for awhile", says Nick Ferrington, the man behind the beats. "I hated it a couple of years ago, but I started kind of getting into it with Moby and Fatboy Slim. I went to this hip-hop and trance tour this summer called Area:2, and I saw the whole culture in trance and techno. It amazed me. Between hearing hip hop beats and seeing people jumpin up and down in the rave tent, it got me going. I went to Dieselboys set, and I got to meet him afterwards. He is my main influence for getting into this style." DJ Paddington started off as a small time DJ, and recently got into his own music creation. "I want to take a step over the line in this buisness," he says. "I wanna take Neil Diamond and mix it with Kernkroft400....I want to take Tom Petty and throw it on a hip hop beat. Im hoping people will hear me and just be like...Damn, hes different. In a totally good way though.........." |
