Artist description The concept is the relationship with the World, and the things of the world are showing themselves to the concept in the multi-perspectivness of a choir of voices merged in a meaningful and organized entirety. As a symphony is a concordance of sounds, headed towards the same direction, so the concept gives meaning to the world, making a whole of its many facets. The concept's symphony is what we normally call "The World". We have access to the world by our vision of it, the entirety that links together notes, chords, tones, frequencies; the entirety without whom the world would only be a quantity of meaningless and dispersed impressions. As a Symphony expresses contradictions, individualisms, antagonisms, so the concept is showing itself to us in a mysterious and borderless way, inducting us to believe that its meaning is to be achieved through our conscience, thus leading us to the problem of reason, to the problem of Truth.

Artist History Concept is a project born from a group of guys who, by the mean of Progressive Metal, intends to give musical expression to the “triple question”: what’s the relationship between music and conscience, between music and self-comprehension, between music and self-perspection? After a short-term experience under the name of A.T.T. (About Traverse Tracks), and after releasing a demo cd (in September 1999), Mariano Croce, Andrea Mastroianni, Gianni Carcione and David Folchitto, in January 2000, formed the band Concept, producing their first demo cd in February 2000. On June 2000 they signed their first contract with the Underground Symphony. Concept are recording their first full-length cd during march-april 2001 in the Zenith Studios (Lucca – Italy). Due to some negative circumstances, the cd will be mixed only in the October of 2002, in the New Sin Studio (Loria (TV) – Italy).
