Artist History
Tragic8ball was started in the spring of 2002 by Abra Kadaver, who used the name Matt to hide his identity. Jussme was playing the drums under the name Chris. The band was called *spill* and was completed by a bassist known only as Sarah and a vocalist (we used this term loosely, very loosely) called Teef. This incarnation of the band you now know as Tragic8ball existed for a few months until the loveable rogue Kitten Mittens replaced Sarah on bass. The official reason was that Sarah didn't really fit in, but everyone knew that she left because Abra forced her to perform disgusting sexual acts on Jussme (its true, -Abra-).
Kitten Mittens played under the name Tom and the band's name was changed to Fake. Shortly after this Ophelia joined, writing synth music and missing practice, lots of. Around this time the band realised what a stupid name they had and changed it to Tragic8ball. They got rid of their stupid pseudonyms and starting calling themselves by their real names. Abra Kadaver was getting into programming around this time and he decided, along with Kitten Mittens, that this was a valuable tool. This is when the band changed from a bunch of goths playing scummy underground hardcore to a bunch of goths playing half decent techno industrial.
This was the start of the Tragic8ball we all know and love. At this moment in time (July 2002), the band are recording material for their debut EP, and in their time off getting completely fucked on heroin and OD'ing. Well, only Abra. The EP should be out soon, to the delight of the few. |
