Artist History Nico, a St. Louis native, moved to Atlanta in 1998 to attend college at Emory University. While there, she did local modeling work, danced in the Emory Dance Co., performed with the Beacon Dance Co. at the Atlanta Dance Festival, and played a leading role on a campus sitcom. In 1999, Nico began attending art school at Washington University in St. Louis. After interning in fashion design in a major New York fashion house, she decided to enroll in the college of Arts and Sciences where she graduated summa cum laude in 2002 with a degree in Psychology. Nico's twelve years of dance training and five years of vocal and acting coaching have allowed her to excel in many areas of the performing arts. Musical theater credits include: Grease, Fiddler on the Roof, and Crazy for You. Nico has toured with various performance groups to Orlando, New York, Washington D.C., Paris and London, performing at venues ranging from Westminster Abby to Disney World. From published poet to fashion designer, Nico has explored many aspects of the art world and brings her varied experience to her music. Her demo draws on her own diverse background and interest in music and fuses pop with techno, house and hip-hop elements to create a unique sound. Nico is an intensely creative force, continuously committed to artistic growth and hard work. Throughout her career she intends to integrate her talents for music, writing, dance, theater, art and fashion to expand the boundaries of music and affect positive change.
