Artist History
Master of None originated as an outlet for the art, poetry and music of bassist/vocalist J. Milazzo. When Milazzo began work on the music end of his Master of None project in the winter of 2000, he enlisted the talents of drummer/percussionist Wayne Daren Schneiderman. As a former member of the group Dead Air, Schneiderman signed to indie label Wonderland Records, and headlined countless venues including New York City’s CBGB and the Limelight.
After months of work, Milazzo and Schneiderman, realizing they had a wealth of solid material on their hands, recruited guitarist Seva to round out Master of None’s rapidly developing sound. Their first rehearsal session created an undeniable synergy that continues to this day, binding them as a musical entity. Schneiderman steers the rhythmic ship with his driving percussive onslaught, propelling the music forward. Seva alternates between sweeping guitar hooks and cyclical string patterns to adorn the sonic landscape. And Milazzo serves as the band’s backbone, creating hypnotic bass lines while vocalizing his thought-provoking lyrics.
