Artist description The Underwater hail from York, Pennsylvania. The band began in early 2001, when members of national hardcore outfit, Boywunder, split to form the rock inspired sound of the Underwater. After several indie releases, the Underwater found themselves on tour with national recording artists, ZAO (SolidState/EMI). While on the tour, the Underwater were received well by fans all over the country. By the time the band returned from the tour, they were approached by Tribunal Records and offered a record deal. The band came to an agreement with the label and decided to release an EP with Tribunal. Shortly after this development, Jesse Smith, drummer of ZAO, made the decision to join the Underwater. The band welcomed this change due to the fact that Jesse has been in the industry for seven years and his previous band had sold over 200,000 records. With Jesse as an obvious addition to the lineup, the band began working hard on their upcoming EP entitled, “Bleed Me Blue”. The EP was recorded with veteran engineer Marshall Deasy at Progressive Studios in Hershey, Pennsylvania. The band is now searching for a label to call home and are actively pursuing a booking agent, manager, and lawyer to help them secure their place in the music industry.
