LAEL - Biography
Formed: 2002
Kerry Dees, Marcus Dees and Jarrod Chapman make up the gospel group LAEL. The name LAEL, is a Hebrew word meaning "Devoted to God. The trio are known for their smooth vocals and crisp harmony sound. Kerry & Marcus Dees, brothers, have been singing together since they were old enough to hold a note. There entire family had the gift of angelic voices and occassionally perform together as a family. Jarrod Chapman, a graduate from the Cincinnati Performing Arts School, always had aspirations of ministering through music. The Dees family moved from Dayton to Cincinnati and became members at the same church as Jarrod Chapman, under the leadership of Elder Dr. H. Anthony Stephens.
Attending the same church, Jarrod and the Dees brothers realized a talent in each other and became friends, and no more than a month after hanging out, LAEL was formed. Less than a month after the trio decided they had heard from the Lord and was prepared to usher in the spirit through song ministry, LAEL was ministering to the P.A.W. Annual Youth Camp in Zanesville, Ohio. Just a mere week later, LAEL was ministering to its home congregation at Abundant Life Apostolic Church in Cincinnati, Ohio. Performing a song dubbed, "So Good", LAEL were invited to minister to the Internation P.A.W. Convention in our nations capitol, Washington, D.C.
After only 3 months of singing together, LAEL has been working on its debut CD and looks to record in the near future. |
