Artist History Jay began writing songs when he was six years old and continued until he went to college, where he was told he had no talent. It took ten years for him to pick up a guitar and prove them wrong. Between 1988 and 1995, Jay produced six albums of original music under his own Lazy D label. Then he met his wife-to-be, Karen, and began collaborating with her.
