Artist History
The foundation of this band was formed when Martin put up a note in Kärrtorps gymnasium that he was interested in starting a band. Erik and a girl read the note and the three of them formed a trio rehearsing in the gymnasium music-classroom. Also rehersing there was Pontus and his classmate. When the girl in the trio dropped off just weeks before their first preformance Pontus offered Martin and Erik to assist them with vocals. The result of this was Illpoxy's first gig. Martin, Erik and Pontus preformed for the first tims in front of hundreds of graduation-students.
Naturally because of the small amount of time, the band preformed with two covers: Big Me (Foo Fighters) and Be Quiet and Drive (Deftones) and both of them were very apprechiated by the drunk graduates. The same songs were performed at the last day before summer-holiday. Suprisingly the band met applause there aswell.
The next time Illpoxy performed was at the welcoming of some Italian exchange-students. They performed the song "Måste vara två" by the Swedish solo-artist Lars Winnerbäck.
Since then Illpoxy hasn't been on stage. But hopefully our best times lies ahead. |
