Artist description Sin-e is a music project born in Rome in 2001. Over a year the band ,whose members come from various places in Italy, fused foreign music elements with Italian ones, thus creating an original sound characterised by atmospheres that take us back to the lysergic rock experiences of Radiohead, Pink Floyd fusing the latter with more recent experiences of sounds and rhythms (Doves, Catherine Wheel the ’80-’90’s international underground scene). The English language is hence the most natural instrument to develop such sonorities.

Artist History The band’s name sin-e (Gaelic for “That’s it”) refers to the famous 122 Sain Mark’s Place at N.Y.. a small bar with just a few tables, where one could unexpectedly listen to U2, Marianne Faithfull, Sin�ad O’Connor or Hothouse Flowers (coming back from exhausting tourne�s). Sin-e was further the place that gave birth to one of the most extraordinary voices ever heard, Jeff Buckley.

Tutto appare tranquillo anche quando i suoni delle chitarre distorte riempiono le cuffie... ...stiamo parlando di rock, rock anni 90, rock della scena underground anni 90, che come ben saprete ha caratteristiche ben diverse rispetto a quello che si sente adesso per radio. Suoni calmi, tranquilli, malinconici, che ti accarezzano e ti calmano come se fossi una bella bestia... ...ti passa la voglia di fare qualsiasi cosa. Mi limiter� quindi a copiare un pezzo della lettere di accompagnamento di questo CD: "Il nome del progetto riporta con la mente al famoso Sin-� [...] al 122 di Saint Mark's Place di New York, un piccolissimo bar con appena una decina di tavoli, dove a sorpresa si poteva assistere a serate degli U2, Marienne Faithfull, Sin�ad O'Connor e Hothouse Flowers [...]. Un locale che vede nascere una delle voci pi� straordinarie mai esistite: Jeff Buckley." Insomma secondo me queste parole dovrebbero farvi capire come si propongono i Sin-�.. ..siamo di fronte ad un gruppo dove il nome racchiude il suo significato musicale, e non mi sento di aggiungere altro a questo bel lavoro, per evitare di rovinarlo con inutili parole.
