Artist History
the band was formed in granby(quebec, canada)in 1988 by john rudd (drums)and jean couture(guit.)doing covers from hendrix, cream, alice cooper, ozzy, etc.christian houle(bass)and stephane chatelain close then.a night of drinking bout, the name NOSLOM is thrown in joke,in answer to the death/trash french band NOMED.
popularity in expension of the crossover/hardcore wich prevails has the time gives the tastes has these 5 musicians(sylvain garneau(guit.)join the rows)not very experienced to compose it's own songs in this vein.in spite of a total lack of knoledge on the matter, the band records his first demo with rented equipement.sad with the result;they decide not to release it,but the friends and fans of the group persuade them to do it considering the money invested."born like a monster"appears in 500 copy and allows NOSLOM to make shows and to cut place in the quebec underground.
eric dupuis(guit.)replaces jean then wich contribute largely with the evolution of the band.later sylvain leaves.thereafter the new band enter the studio peter pan with pierre remillard for the recording of "nameless story".the demo is very well aclaimed by the public and the critics for his originality, wich make it possible for NOSLOM to occur with bands like SLOAN,GRIMSKUNK,GROOVY AARDVARK,OBLIVEON,GORGUTS,BARF and many others...
