Artist History
Multi-faceted musician Lizzy Daymont was born and raised in Hinsdale, IL. Beginning piano studies at age 6, she went on to play alto sax in grade school before picking up the guitar at age 9. After playing guitar in her first band, she then moved to the bass where she has concentrated the most effort ever since. She studied at Berklee College of Music in Boston, performed in several bands, then moved to Seattle. Currently she is a member of acclaimed Seattle singer-songwriter Susan Robkin's band. Lizzy recently worked with guitarist/producer Elliott Randall, along with famed drummer Jerry Marotta (Indigo Girls, Peter Gabriel) and bassist Tony Levin (Peter Gabriel, King Crimson) on Robkin's upcoming album. Other projects include drumming for the all-girl trio The Safety Skirts, and playing bass for DivaRock, a tribute to women in rock. When she's not busy performing with Robkin, Lizzy is available for hire as a bassist and participates in various recording sessions and live shows around Seattle. She is a member of ASCAP and The Recording Academy's Pacific NW Branch. Lizzy and her husband, drummer Pete Johnston, also write and record their own music at their studio in Seattle. More information, photos and updates on current activities may be found at her offical website, www.lizzydaymont.com. |
