Artist History
Christopher began playing guitar when his Father, a mandolin player, suggested he take up the instrument. Influences early on by Classical and Folk music his Mother played around the house and Jazz that his Father listened to Christopher soon began exploring his chosen instrument. Upon hearing the intense guitar playing of Yngwie Malmsteen Christopher became obsessed with progressing as a musician. He was soon playing in local clubs and teaching full time. Christopher has spent years touring and recording with Jazz ensembles, Nashville acts, and progressive rock artists. He was recently hired to perform and record all the guitar tracks on a new rock opera "Rasputin" with vocal sensation Ted Neeley from "Jesus Christ Superstar" Chris' playing caught the attention of producer and composer Michael Rapp who has begun work on Chris' solo album. Christopher also holds the guitar chair in the progressive metal quartet Xfusion, a band that combines extreme elements of shred and improvisation. Thier debut album "Vague but True" is due out in January. Chris is also the Director of Music at The Grand school of Music located in The Grand Opera House in Wilmington Delaware, where he spends time teaching guitar and developing music programs for the local community. |
