Artist description
Somewhere along the way, the jupiter project became disillusioned with the idea of being a rock band. One day, the drums stopped, but the jupiter project didn't.
That doesn't mean they don't rock. the jupiter project rocks smarter, more deliberately and with greater patience. Drum machines do not equal "techno", but they do equal precision and premeditation. It's writing Haiku-there is greater freedom within the rigidity of the format and an opportunity for soul that most musicians are afraid to understand.
The pop ideal that the jupiter project was founded on has not died, but evolved. The vocals and guitars are live and crisp, with the latter sticking to the more vintage effects. The electronic tracks do not try to emulate a live drummer, nor do they hold the songs to a constant percussive pattern.
