Artist description
Actually, there is no one in the band named Rosy, or Jo for that matter ! The name came from the original three members taking the first two letters of their first names and combining them together to form Rosy Jo. Unfortunately, one of the founding members departed the band in June 1998 but the rest of us decided to keep the name anyway ! |

Artist History
The band was originally formed in March 1995 and, for three years, tried in vain to pull together some sort of presence or being. Several times we reached certain plateaus only to have some other aspect fall into disrepair. The final direction was set toward doing our own original material and, in the summer of 1996, we recorded our first demos, Make Time and Deceive Me. This turned-out to be a very educational experience for all involved and many lessons were learned. In June of 1998, the original drummer was released from the band and the quest for a replacement began.By July, 1998, Chris Marion joined the ranks of Rosy Jo and launched a new phase with the band. We began to record our latest CD, See You Again, on relatively new technology, the Roland VS-880 Digital Studio Workstation (more learning !) ! As of June 26th/99, we had released the pre-mastered version of the CD to a few select individuals and began the mastering sessions on Wednesday, June 30th at DB Recording here in Nepean, Ontario, Canada. By the end of July, 1999,we began actually selling the finished CD... and have been doing pretty well since, if we do say so ourselves !!! |
