    Artist description
Mid - late twenties, brown hair, scruffy-looking. Musically (the stuff that's featured on this site at least), strong affinities to folk and folk rock.
    Music Style
Folk, rock, folk rock, some more experimental stuff
    Musical Influences
Leonard Cohen, Neil Young, Tom Waits, Bob Dylan, They Might Be Giants, Steve Taylor, Altiplano, Joni Mitchell.
    Similar Artists
I don't know. Some people say my music reminds them of Johnny Cash, Leonard Cohen, Bob Dylan, John Denver, early Beck, or Neil Young. There may be a pattern here, stylistically speaking.
    Artist History
1974: Born in Germany. '75-'94: Grew up in South America. Wanted to become a classical pianist. '94-'98: Studied music (piano) in Canada. 1998-2000: Went hitch hiking. Also began to search for an activity that will put bread on the table. Or that will get a table to put bread on. Mixed results, alternating various jobs with backpacking travels. 2001: back to university studies. 2002: currently working in inner-city missions in Vancouver, BC
    Group Members
Some of the stuff here I recorded with IF, a band which included Sydney Eorthman ("Mr. E") and my brother Daniel Klaue ("Doc Sanders"). Check out the "links" page to find sites where their solo stuff is featured. My latest project ("Thirst") is more of a solo effort, although I owe great amounts to Carmelle Pretzlaw (who sings and plays violin on most of the tracks).
    Instruments
Recent projects have been mostly guitar-driven, frequently featuring strings or flute or an occasional South American folkloric instrument. Future projects should get more into piano, ethnic instruments, and electronica.
    Albums
Thirst (2002), ArtIFact (1999), Yeah Okay Whatever (with Mr. E, 1998)
