Press Reviews
Relix magazine (vol. 26 No. 3 Summer Special 1999) says, "Here Nor There is a New Jersey drummerless trio that has an acoustic-based sound based in rock and jazz. The ten original songs on its CD, Conversations, are quite impressive. The sound is a little sparse (everything was done live in the studio with no overdubs), but is an unusual and delicate mix. A standout is "Majesty," which features nice harmonies, a great bass line and subtle clarinet fills. In fact, the fretlass bass playing of Joe Isgro is extremely good throughout the album. The sultry "I Didn't Know" and the lively, swinging "No Cover" are also noteworthy." (Mick Skidmore) |
