Artist History Since our beginnings back in 1988 we've always felt the need to write and perform our own songs. They are generally about our vision of life, the world itself, and the future. Hence, the meaning of our name ARKA (ARK in English): a ship that sails through rough and stormy seas in search of new horizons. As well as rock and pop, we've got a wide musical taste so we like to delve into other musical styles such as bossanova and ballads. Our songs are mainly melodic, with emphasis on vocals and guitars. In 2000 we released our latest album, titled "El Momento", which portrays current world issues through the songs and tries to answer some of the questions that arise. Our next album will also be conceptual, and tell a story song after song, also incorporating some elements of the Latin-American culture.
