Music Style Rock with a Yorkshire Accent

Artist History The band was formed in March 2000. All 3 members are from the Leeds/Wakefield area. After only a few practice sessions the band recorded a demo at CLCM Studios in Leeds, consisting of the tracks All You Can Eat, She Won't Cry Alone and Flying. This was for personal use only and so only a few copies were made. On Saturday 5th August the band played their first gig at Joseph's Well in Leeds under the name Slideshow. A further gig followed on November 27th at the same venue. The band had by now changed their name to Little Big Men and had begun recording a demo at Riverside Studios in Wakefield. This became the bands first release, producing 500 copies for sale and for promotional use. The tracks on this CD are available to download in the download area of this site. A number of gigs followed in 2001 (as detailed on the gigs page). Feedback recieved following the gigs was very encouraging proving the bands own theory that they give an excellent live show. With their talent for songwriting and an entertaining stage presence the band are developing a very marketable image. Some encouraging reviews in the local press, a national music magazine and various websites have reinforced the management's belief that Little Big Men will make it big someday soon. More gigs are being lined up for the remainder of 2001 and 2002 with the intention that the band can become established in various parts of the North of England so increasing their already quite substantial fan base.
