Artist History
"Euphoria's Depression is Marcio Novelli's solo
music. For years, Marcio has been writing songs.
He is a self-taught guitarist and vocalist. The
only formal training he's had is piano lessons at
a young age and then piano courses taken in
highschool. His songwriting skills were extensively
developed at the age of 13. Although he had been
writing songs before then, his grade 8 year at school
is when he wrote a lot of songs further developing
his skill at writing. After years of being known as
simply Marcio Novelli, at the age of 17, he decided
on a name for himself. When asked what the meaning
behind "Euphoria's Depression" is, Marcio's response was,
"It is supposed to reflect how there is not only depression
in depression itself, but there is also depression
in one's happiness... more specifically, mine.
Even when I seem happy, there is still that
sadness, depression, that never dies. It's always
there inside of me. It's sad when you really think
about it. Also, sometimes when I seem OVERLY happy,
it is usually because I am far from happy. I am,
for some odd reason, portraying my sadness through
extreme joyfulness. Why do I do this? Well, I
think the situation is less of a personal one than
it is a human behaviour issue. I believe that
every depressed individual will do this at one
point or another. I can't really explain it at the
moment but it does make sense." Marcio is in the
band, "Article Nineteen" (www.articlenineteen.com).
His side project where he
mixes and produces electronic music is called "Dj Knova".
Euphoria's Depression will always exist. No
matter what musical projects Marcio Novelli is
engaged in, Euphoria's Depression will always
be there." - Euphoria's Depression |
