Artist description
Burn started up in February 2000. Marc Elaerts (bass and backing vocals) and Peter Mahy (lead guitar and backing vocals)had split up with their former band Contagion. They decided to start up a new project with influences from Slayer, Machine head, Exodus ...
Stefan Vlaminck (rhythm guitar) wanted to play along and already had a few ideas to create some songs. In search for a drummer, they contacted Bart Thomas, who was at that time hooked up with Spellbound. Bart liked the concept the guys came towards him with and decided to quit Spellbound.
After a few months, the band had made a few songs, but still had not found anybody to take on the strong and fast vocals they had in mind. One day Peter contacted an old friend of his and asked him if he was interested in doing some vocals. Dirk Roosen came to check out what the band was all about and so Burn was completed.
Unwantedly, Stefan quit the band after a few months so Burn continued with 4 members. One of the first songs the band completed was 'Nature of the beast'. This song is trash-metal all the way. Powerful guitar-riffs and speeding drum works; THAT'S WHAT IT'S ALL ABOUT !!!!!!!!!!!
