Artist description In late November, as the year 2002 was coming to an end, the Reston-based rock quartet Common Effect put together their final, solid lineup. Shortly afterward, the band arranged new songs for their self-financed EP entitled "Instinct of the Moment," released March of the next year. Their energetic performances have been essential in the formation of a strong and growing fan base. The distinct sound is a result of hard work, along with influences such as Thrice, Jimmie's Chicken Shack, Finch, Deftones, Foo Fighters, and Glassjaw. CE has shared the stage with the likes of SEV, Home Grown, Don't Look Down, Over It, The Early November, My Captain, Cadillac Blindside, Wakefield, and many more.
