Artist History Brandt Passalacqua is a lifelong musician who has turned his talents to a unique instrument: the Chapman Stick. Applying the percussive two-handed techniques of piano to the Stick's ten guitar and bass strings, Brandt creates music which is simultaneously reminiscent of new age, ambient, and classical guitar music. In recent years, Brandt has toured North America, playing diverse venues which include rock clubs, opera houses, cafes, churches, and avant-garde electronica spots. Brandt's music has been featured on national ambient and new age radio shows, and his playing has received praise from critics and fans alike. As half of Basque, Brandt released three albums: Basque (1998), Radiate (2000) and Falling Forward (2001). In 2002, Brandt released an album, tstorm meditations, for Open, his ambient electronica project. He is now working on his next album, a collection of his solo Chapman Stick compositions.
