Artist History Formed in 1989 in Birmingham England, Benediction have been among the pioneers of Death Metal for over 14 years. Their hard drinkin', hard rockin', no-bullshit approach has garnered them respect and fans from all over the world. Having played across the globe with many of the big names in Metal, from underground heroes such as Bolt Thrower, Death and Deicide right up to bands at the top of the Metal world such as Judas Priest and Motorhead, Benediction have always been known as a formidable live proposition. Over the years, through inevitable lineup changes, the Benediction heart remains solid and true, and the lineup is as strong now as it has even been. Their history of aggressive, powerful, from-the-heart Death Metal based music shows no sign of abating, and the band are going from strength to strength - as shown on their latest CD 'Oraganized Chaos'. With plans for a special 15 year anniversary event taking shape for 2003, the 'Grind Bastards' are still doing what they do best - grinding on!
